If you have a specialist appointment coming up or need to attend a care planning meeting with a loved one who is currently in hospital, I will join you.
I will come in with you and be your support and second pair of ears while helping to translate medical jargon. As an independent advocate, I will make sure you are given unbiased information and ensure you can make informed decisions about your care. I will make sure you understand everything your healthcare provider is telling you and ensure that you are the one who is making the final decisions.
You will leave your appointment feeling confident that you understand everything that was discussed and what your next steps will be.
